With the leaves changing colours and the nights drawing in Autumn is finally approaching, after what feels like an extremely long and weird year. Autumn has been my favourite season for as long as I can remember and there’s something about Autumn this year which makes me feel like I have to make the very most of single moment.
So I thought for my first post back blogging since 2017 (whoops) I’d start off nice and easy and do a post on my bucket list for this season. So here we go:

Go Pumpkin picking – I’ve wanted to do this for years but have never got around to it. This however year I’m finally going to tick it off my list and collect pumpkins for my Halloween party I’m hoping to have.
Bake cinnamon biscuits– This isn’t just exclusive to my Autumn wish list. I would probably have this on my daily wish list if I could. I love cinnamon. The house always smells amazing afterwards.
Throw an old school Halloween party – I’m talking the Halloween parties we had as children with apple bobbing, the doughnut game and singing the chorus to monster by Automatic (who remembers that song?). Halloween is on a Saturday this year and I intend on making the most of it (if I can).
Try a Pumpkin Spiced Latte – I never really understood the hype for Pumpkin Spiced Latte and to be honest I’ve always felt like a bit of a fraud for being one of the only girls to have never tried a pumpkin spiced latte. Up until recently I wasn’t a fan of coffee so never wanted to try one until now.
Make an Autumn candle – Last year I had the most gorgeous gingerbread candle from As Above Soap Below which smelt basically like Autumn. This year I want to try my hand at making the perfect Autumn Candle.
Have a cosy movie night – The perfect night in with the rain falling outside, loads of fairy lights and hallmark movies on tap.
Watch the fireworks – There’s normally a big show by me with a bonfire and candle lit procession. But I think this year I may have to settle for fireworks in the back garden.
Go to a farmers market – Recently I’ve started getting interested in using fruit and vegetables in my cooking that are in season. Where better to get them from than independent local suppliers. Plus the market near me has the best cake stand.
Go on a staycation – Let’s be honest 2020 has not been a good year for travelling but with restrictions starting to lift it would be really nice to be able to getaway for a few days. I have a trip booked for the end of September that I am hoping to go on but who knows at this point.
Go Blackberry picking – I used to do this as child and I loved it but could never find a use for all of them. This year I want to collect Blackberries and make Blackberry infused gin.
There is so much to do this Autumn and I am excited to get started! Whats on your Autumn bucket list this year?
Until next time
Sian xx
